I was the camera man the whole time in the gas station during the tornado. Dan who normally films was taking on a higher cause... staying on the phone with his brother who was a meterologist so we could get minute by minute updates on this storm from hell.
The big question was... should we stay here... or go? And, if we need to go freaking ASAP ... in what direction should we go exactly?
It's a pity my computer takes so long to download episodes but I guess that is something I will have to address myself.
Is there any chance of having a race across America, with just Corvettes but from different years, eg. 1961 Mako Shark, 1963 Split Window Stingray, 1967 Stingray, 1969 Mantaray and the 1978 25th Anniversary Corvette, racing against each other and filmed on your site?
Interesting. Great shots of the lightning! Now you can star in 'Vette Twister' Don't want to see how good fiberglass holds up to hail. I'm sure you'll be glad to get past the storms. Its tough enough doing well in the competition without having to dodge tornados! Keep 'em coming!
Your website is awesome, like a breath of fresh air "you mean you actually use your Vette for it's intended purpose" what a novel idea. Most people I know keep their spotless low mileage Vettes in the garage, only to be used as a Sunday driver, provided it's not raining of course. I guess it comes down to your either a driver or a collector. I mean no disrespect to the collectors out there; the industry needs them as well as drivers. I just couldn’t take seeing my Vette everyday and only drive it maybe once a week.
I have a question if you don’t mine.
What’s the purpose of the two boxes and the screen mounted on the dash and who are the manufactures?
I plan on buying an 08’ Z06 this fall or winter and would like to equip it in a similar fashion.
Hi ZOLT! Those 2 boxes and the display are my "cross country" setup. Essentially it's a Cobra CB radio, with a Valentine V1 radar detector on top. And, the display is for the Garmin Novi 660 GPS. And, thank you for the compliments on the show!
Awsome videos! It makes me want to put the hammer down in mine. As far as web sites go DC is my favorite. I just found you a month or so ago and visit it damn near every day. It is refreshing to see that others use their cars as I do. I have 40k on my 01 Z06 and I bet 10k is from track days at Thunderhill,Infineon, and countless autocross'. Keep up the great work.
isint that true wen in doubt budlight will get u out.
did u guys get like an adrenaline rush knowing any second a tornado can pop up and just destroy your car and those in it....
Keep the episodes coming and watch out for those Tornadoes :-P Good thing everyone was ok!
All I can say is.......I'm speechless... Let me get my heart slowed down a bit.
E3 was awesome! Were was Patrick in the Gas Station?????? Hiding in a stall?
It is that grave danger that you faced with the help of Bud Light that makes you a true Vette Dog ;)

Without a doubt the most scared I have been in my life. Good thing the beer was cold. Can someone turn off that damn tornado siren?
New theme song for Patrick and Steve "So happy together!" LOL Good one Dan!
Another cool episode!
People give all these reasons of why they moved away from California....Tornados is a reason why I moved TO California! LOL
Great episode...brought back memories.
"So here we are in a Motel Six and..."
"It's a Super 8"
"Oh and Super 8"
Like any of that matters lol.
I can't believe that we didn't get any footage of that stupid BP sign...
Love the singing there Dan.
