Whatever happened to run what ya brung? Leave excuses and 'what if's' on StreetFire, lol. The DCZ was pushing 400rwhp, it held its own. Recently trapped a 118mph, so it's definitely making power.
You guys would have love the turbo Porsche out of the hole though, Oooo baby!
yeah i figured as much, the GT driver either wasnt pushing it, or his lunch was off, and or he didnt hit his shift points, a.k.a bad driving skill......cuz i know a 03 zo6 cant take a ford GT, i'm not sure what pat has under the hood as well, but from what i hear when that thing is running his exhaust is modified and he might have after market headers as well, so if he has more stuff done as well that maybe have been a factor, either way i was impressed with pat on the drag, he's lunch was pretty much prefect, and he just seem like he was in his element, so thumbs up, although i still hold that the GT could have took him with the right driver, which i'm sure we'd all agree
Tha drag racing was definitely a blast! It was the one event that everyone else felt more involved and there was instant feedback on how you did.
There were some great runs out there. Steve Stubbs' Z06 brought home 3rd place with a 12.2! The Porsche turbo put the down most insane run at 11.859 (on street tires mind you). The AWD simply rocketed him outta there.
SupraMike,
Hate to tell you driver skill actually matters at this level. Patrick drag raced for many years. What good is power if you cant put it down?
example: what good is a 1000hp supra if you only have traction in 3rd and are racing 1/4 mile? Good for nothing....
